Overview:

The Pacman series is a monster in the classic video game world. It started a new genre when it came out in Japan in 1979. Most games coming out at the time were either space shooters or pong-like sports games. This new genre appealed to both males and females. This made it so popular, it inspired more than thirty officially licensed sequels, numerous bootlegs, home-brews, and clones, a plethora of merchandise, a top forty pop song, and even an animated series.
Pacman was pretty well ported to the Game Gear. The graphics looked good and true to the arcade. With excellent gameplay, and controller response, you can't go wrong. The only drawback was the size of the screen, and the fact you can't see the whole thing at once.

Directions:

Choose either one or two players. In two player mode you will just take turns playing, competing for the high score. The object of the game is to get as many points as you can before your game is over. Your game is over after have no extra men left.
Gain points by eating as many pellets as you can. Power pellets will make the ghosts turn blue, then you can also eat them for extra points. You can also gain extra points by eating fruits that appear right under the ghost's home. After you clear a board of all the pellets, you will move on to the next.
Each board is harder because the power pellets will make the ghosts blue for shorter and shorter periods of time as you go up the stages. On the bright side, each stage offers a new fruit that is worth more points. You will get an extra man for every ten thousand points.
